BIOMES AND LANDFORMS IN SCRIPTURE
ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE CERTIFICATE - EJ10603 - 1.5 Credits
The Bible, both Hebrew (Old Testament) and Greek (New Testament), is full of the kinds of lands that are important to the biblical people. The story of their relationship to God is told in its pages, and the stories of the peoples in the Bible and their place on the land together shaped their faith. This is the case whether they lived in the lands, fought in the lands, or feared the lands or bodies of water, earned a living or stayed away from them, the many kinds of landscapes helped to shape their societies The same is true of the kinds of lands with which we interact on a regular basis; the land shapes our faith and perception of life in ways we might not consciously notice. In this course, through a daily observational journal, we will be invited to notice the land in the region where we reside.
