Preaching On Christian Nationalism (Proclaim)
Each week, we will have a number of course activities. These might include discussions on the readings, short writing assignments, movie reflections, listening to podcasts, watching videos, posting media reviews, etc. The specific course activities will vary week to week, according to different themes. All instructions will be provided. Please work in the order that things are presented, as this is intentional in building a cumulative understanding.
The aim of this course is to give you more than you need in a compact a window of time (6 weeks) with a reasonable amount of weekly work (about 3 hours). I recommend that you schedule time for this class each week, so it remains a high priority. As we all know, the demands of Pastoral ministry are constantly challenging and ever changing, so do what you need to ensure you give the proper attention to the course. This course is designed to be fully asynchronous, so there is no specific time you need to be online doing anything. While we will work on a week-by-week basis, you have full freedom within the week to do your work when you like.
Affordable
PATHWAYS believes that quality theological education should be available to any who want it. That’s why we provide a cost-effective online theological program accessible to all. 4-week Explorer courses are only $124, 6-week courses just $375, 9-week courses Supervised Ministry courses are $500, and our 12-week UCC History and Polity course is only $650.
Flexible
Because classes are not bound by geography and have a flexible weekly schedule, PATHWAYS courses are able to fit into the rest of your busy life. Courses typically involve weekly readings and discussion in a facilitated online forum, offering practical, open-minded education and a learner-centered environment where participants can bring their own questions and insights.
Accessible
Our courses have between 4 and 15 participants. This allows for deep and productive discussions in the online forum. We know that a small class size allows the participants to develop learning relationships with each other and for facilitators to push participants to a more indepth learning experience.
